ABOUT THE FOUNDER:

Throughout my life I have always been involved with fashion, the arts and manufacturing.  I was very lucky that the people who surrounded me taught me a great appreciation for the beautiful things they loved.

Coming from a long line of craftsman and artisans, one of my favorite pastimes as a child was watching my Italian grandfather hand shape rare materials into incredible final masterpieces.  While growing up in Europe and South America, I learned to treasure our planet for its natural wonders and artifacts and for its marvelous people.

One stormy day when I was 16 a life altering event occurred.  I jumped in to the Mediterranean Sea in an attempt to save a drowning woman whose strength was rapidly weakening.  The great risk of danger was far from my mind as I battled the huge strong waves.  Instead, I felt as if I were having a mystical sensation in being offered the rare privilege of saving someone's life.   After beginning to tire, when I finally reached the struggling woman, I felt an incredible surge of power, both mentally and physically, that enabled me to provide the help that was so desperately needed.  As I began swimming back to shore with the lady, I was surprise how difficult she was to transport.  I suddenly realized something totally unexpected - the awkward shape of her swollen belly beneath my arm was due to her advanced state of pregnancy.  I was both awed and motivated by the additional responsibility with which I was suddenly charged.  After reaching the shore, as I transferred "them" from my arms to the care of the woman's anxious family, one of the grateful relatives kissed my hands as a gesture of thanks.

This incredible experience dramatically reinforced in me the benefit one gains from helping others and fostered a desire to do good that has continued to grow as I have aged.

The culmination of this focus on helping others has resulted in my founding Saving the Sphere.   Together, we can all help to Save the Sphere.  A single gesture, when combined with millions of others, will make a difference.  Each day you can do your part to change the destiny of your land and that of your international neighbors, too.   Although you will not see immediate results, you will contribute to making an important difference in the future for posterity.

The instinctual reaction I had nearly three decades ago massively shaped the destiny of a small family.  That rescued woman gave birth to a new life.  Her baby is now 28 year old Sara Enza, the mother of three incredibly happy and lucky children named, Enzina 7, Martina, 4, and Piero, 2.

You, too, have an opportunity to make a decision to positively impact the future.  Together we will stop the use of plastic bags.  While benefiting mankind you can enjoy the reward of knowing you have done your small part to improve the destiny of future generations.  You have a decision to make.  Will you join me?
